I heard a line in a show this week. Let me give a little bit of context.
The main character’s mother had died when she was little. Now she’s grown up and it’s her mother’s birthday. She’s having a conversation with the guy (lol you know there has to be a guy) and she says,
“It’s sad how a person’s death can almost erase them from existence. Everybody forgets their birthday and all that’s left is the day they died.”
That. Touched me.
By coincidence (or not), on Wednesday, I had a ‘beginning’ anniversary. Four years ago, something really special started that day. It also ended. This year, I decided to celebrate that it happened, instead of mourning its demise.
Like a lot of late 90s millennials, I grew up obsessed with happy Disney-esque endings. I think (like Dave said in the intro to Both Sides of A Smile), we are all looking for a happy ending somewhere. Yet when you don’t find that (at least not yet), you can always go back to the beginning, because the end of one journey marks the start of another. I believe that is why it’s called The Cycle of Life.

#NowReading: How To Daydream (Again)
When was the last time you let your imagination run away? Probably been a minute. This article is a reminder that everybody can use some time in fantasy land (even if you’re all grown up now)
#NowWatching: Hometown Cha Cha Cha
Spoiler Alert, this is the show I’m talking about in the intro. I loved everything about this series. There are life lessons are hidden in the stories of all the characters, the sweet wholesome moments are absolutely swoon-worthy, the comedy is exceptional, and the dialogue is pure gold. It’s been a while since I’ve watched something so perfect.
#NowPlaying: The Beginning by Asa
You might not know this about me but I once performed this song in front of about 100 people. I’m a girl of many talents you know. It’s the perfect song for reminiscing an old ending and celebrating a new start.

Wishlist: reMarkable
If you know me, you know I like to write things down. At any given time I have three separate journals, 44 ongoing notes on my phone and some scribbles on random sheets of paper. So when I came across reMarkable on Instagram, it really felt like an answered prayer.
Putting all my notes in one place (so I don’t get confused or God forbid lose them), AND it feels like I’m writing on paper? Well shut up take my money!
